End of the Year Book Tag
Question 1: Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?
Actually, no! I'm super proud of this. The only book I really wanted to finish before the end of the year was the third Game of Thrones book, and I've done that already. I've also started re-reading the Harry Potter series, which it would be nice to finish before the end of the year. On the other hand, I'm really savouring this reading experience, so I'll just take the time I need with those books.
Question 2: Do you have an autumnal book to transition to the end of the year?
No, I've pretty much started with my wintery reads now. November for me is more winter than autumn, and I love the Christmas season, so I've started all that very early. Right now I'm reading Philip Pullman's "His dark materials"-series, which is very Christmassy for me and I'm really enjoying it!
Question 3: Is there a new release you're still waiting for?
I've been waiting forever: The next book in the Game of Thrones series. I really want to read books 4 and 5 next year, and then I'll be so ready for the next one. Sometimes I'm afraid it's not going to happen at all... It's certainly not going to happen by the end of this year.
Question 4: What are three books you want to read until the end of the year?
I'd like to finish the "His dark materials"-series by Philip Pullman, I want to read "Let it snow" by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle as a Christmassy read, and then a classic... Maybe Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte? I think that would suit the season very well.
Question 5: Do you think there's a book that could still shock you and become your favourite of the year?
I hope so! I haven't been reading that much this year, and therefore do not have many favourites, unfortunately.... Maybe I'll manage to squeeze in "The hate u give" by Angie Thomas, I have high hopes for that book. It seems to be everybody's favourite.
Question 6: Have you already made reading plans for 2018?
Yes, some. I really want to finish all the Game of Thrones books that are out, then I want to read "The hate u give" by Angie Thomas, "The Handmaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood, "Homo Deus" by Yuval Noah Harari, "Rebecca" by Daphne Du Maurier and "Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine" by Gail Honeyman. There's so many more of course, but these are some from the top of my list.
What about you? What are you planning to read until the end of the year and what are your reading plans for 2018?
Happy reading everyone!
